On March 8, 2025, we were honored to co-organize a Free Dental Check & Health Talk at Yiu Tung Estate, Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong. This meaningful event was made possible through the collaboration of Council Member Anita Ng, the Hong Kong Young Dentist Federation, and Pharmacist Ian Cheung, who generously dedicated their time and expertise to support the elderly community.

A Successful Community Event

With over 60 elderly residents in attendance, the event was a tremendous success. The participants received free dental check-ups, practical health advice, and valuable insights on overall well-being. Many elders expressed their gratitude, sharing how important it was to receive professional guidance on maintaining their dental health, which plays a crucial role in both physical and mental well-being.

Poor oral health can lead to serious issues such as difficulty eating, increased risk of infections, and even a decline in self-confidence. Through this initiative, we aimed to raise awareness and provide practical support to help our elders maintain a healthy and happy life.

Looking Ahead

This event reinforced the importance of community-driven health initiatives. We hope to continue organizing similar activities to ensure that elderly residents receive accessible healthcare services and educational opportunities that empower them to lead healthier lives.

Thank you once again to everyone who contributed to making this event a success. We look forward to more opportunities to support and uplift our community together!

Stay tuned for future events, and let’s keep prioritizing health and well-being for all!
